Final Names!

Posted by BrainToast - March 19th, 2009

You've recently heard I'm creating an RPG. This RPG is a stickfigure type game so the RPG thing is out of the picture I guess (maybe, tits OO). The final name of the game is Xero Arena. It's taken me days of naming to get it, but I've got it now. The site will have the title, Xero Arena, in it. Expect some awesomeness out of this great game.

Anyway, I'm bringing on a little game called "Xero Arena - Sketches". This little thing will show you some great gameplay (and some that has hopes for accomplishment) that should get you up for waiting on this game. In the game, there are videos of the game you may view. Here are the title and their description:

Front Flip: See one of the two ways you can front flip in the game.

Shooting Pistol: See both ways you can fire a pistol in the game.

Using Poisons: See one of the three ways you can use poisons on enemies.

Bomb Planting: See how you use your player's awesome powers to use bombs and shields.

Reloading: In the game, there are 8 guns (pistols, Speara [a spear shooter], micro SMG, AK47, Rida [bomb shooter], and more). None of them need reloading but this seemed to be practice for any game that needed me to create reloading weapons.

Setting a Fire: See how players can set fires (used on trees).

Combat: See how you fight with fists (used on a snake).

Expect other cool features being shown. Anyway, there is also a mini-game called Fighting Classes. You play as the protagonist seen in every one of the feature clips (just like Rockstar Games, feature clips), except you use the learned knowledge from every feature clip to fight. If you just wanna play the mini-game, just do it. In the opening, there is a trainer named Wong Shin. He will teach you lots of information, but what he's teaching is a quarter of what he'll teach you in the full game. Wong Shin looks a bit like the protagonist (Danny) except he wears a bandanna and a has weapon holders (that look like shady lines) all over his legs. At the end of the fighting class, you get to fight Wong Shin. At anytime, you are permitted to use the Quit button. The pause button is a featured not used in the mini-game since the game is still being developed from bottom-top (beginning-end) not top-bottom (end-beginning).

Now, the reason why I've been so non-working. Well, I haven't been showin much since I've gotten Chinatown Wars for my DS. My DS must be so happy. I turn it on whenever I can use it and play Chinatown Wars. I sit near my TV while playing Chinatown Wars. Mostly, I'm not even paying attention to the TV, no matter how interesting the show may look.

And lastly, I am trying to create my own font style. It's called Boxer. Every letter has been drawn, I just need to find somewhere I can create it and allow people to use the thing for free. Someone, PLEASE tell me where I may find a font creator for free.

EDIT: Look at this awesome image of Danny (protagonist) on the Newgrounds Tank (seen in the game and the announced preview).
